Mississippi teams did alright today

First time I can ever remember that Ole Miss and Miss State were both undefeated this far in the season.  Hats off to both of them.  Banjo

Today I am rehab'bin from all the sideline armchair help I was offering yesterday. In fact almost every miss hit was absorbed by me.

In the past I could run and run, but now I am a todal wreck. Although one could look at me and swear  I did nothing. So being completely worn out I washed down some aspirin with a jar of whiskey to celebrate to rest with sweet dreams.

Just a little while ago I was informed that both our teams were well rewarded in the football polls, some even showin both to be tied at 3 rd place.

As the commercial says: "It don't get much better than this!" Today is a great day to be a Mississippian.

They did pretty good today, too! I just saw the new AP Top-25 poll and they're both in the top ten. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Miss. State went from unranked to #1 in five weeks.  That's a record for the ap poll,  and Ole Miss is just a fuzz out of second behind Fl. State.  Banjo

Well I'm a Florida State fan, but I'm real happy to see the Miss. teams doing well.  I know how good it feels when your team comes out of the doldrums.  :)

Yep and the Ole Miss Quarterback Bo Wallace is from Pulaski Tenn. ... could be the Vols should have been looking a little harder at one of their own instead of letting him slip off down south. :)  Banjo

Mississippi State 45 - Kentucky, 31.   It was a hard fought game.

Ole Miss plays LSU at LSU tonight.   :o

That last play by Ole Miss was a miscue...should have been either a sure fire completion or a throw away...and then get the field goal att. if needed... I thought LSU played really good defence... that was the diff.  Banjo

It was great to see MSU get a win last night against a tough Arkansas team.

It was a heartbreak loss for Ole Miss against Auburn.  It was awful to see OM lose a player to a gruesome injury on what was nearly the game winning play.

Just think, if there was only one SEC team in Mississippi, everyone would be friends in the State.  :D

I know all about that in-state rivalry,,,ugly sometimes.
