Wife is in Houston preping her mothers house for sale, leaving me to fend for myself.

All I could find was this:

Steak, FF beans and stump water.

Oscar had to suffer through the scraps:

But, we will survive.

That was a snack between meals?

I usually put down 3 or 4 of those little cuts from the store, and a full 32oz can of beans... plus some mac and cheese and maybe even a little salad.  And of course desert.

They don't seem to like me at the buffet, I can put down easily 4-5 plate loads  :D

And nope I'm not fat, 5ft 10 and about 195lbs.

For now. I used to be able to do that also. That was 150 lbs back

I've been preaching for years for you guys to keep a survival kit.

#1. Flashlight for when the power goes out
#2. Firewood if the heat goes out
#3. Corn cobs in case you run out of toilet paper
#4. ....and a bag of Grits in case your wife leaves to prepare her mother's house for sale. :)
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

One item missing...goats can survive!

"At the End of Times" there will be three survivors..

3. Goats

I only eat like that when I'm working.  I started out at 215 this spring... you know came out of winter hibernation  :D

Have dropped over 20lbs over summer, all the while eating like a hog.

I guess the long hours and working like a rented mule burn off a few calories.

Reminds me of a cookout my friend, Dave, had some years back.  He was BBQing up chicken and all the trimmings.  Had 5-6 folks over including me.  Well another friend's wife was there, big old Southern girl.  I'm talking about 6ft, 275lbs, could lift the back of the F350 if it got stuck in the mud.  :D

Dave comes out to the back yard, "suppers ready".  We head out to the front where the grill and tables were.

Hmm.... uh... where's the food?

Well she had beat us already.  Cleaned out the whole spread in about 45 seconds  :o :o

"Oh.... that was for everyone?!"

Yep. No grits for me and I will scrimp and buy cheap on a lot of things but TP is not one of them. Want me some good soft Charmin.

When I worked for the airport all the janitorial supplies were lowbid. TP included. I moved up and did the ordering for our firedept. My request for janitorial supplies went to the janitorial supervisor who then ordered on the weekly order for the whole airport.  Found out the executive offices didn't use the low bid TP. But got something better.

Told him to get our  the good stuff just like he got the executive offices. Our firemen's (admin edit) was as good as the executives. What could they say. My butt deserves better TP than yours?
Give me a new saw chain and I can find you a rock in a heartbeat.
