Another effort at a first post.  I enjoy reading all the posts and continue to find the site extremely helpful.

Nice!  I bet you are enjoying that electric mill too!
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Tractor is a 5410, loader and forks are essential - replaced an old 1050 that had no forks - it had just a bucket and I used chains to move logs.

The mill, LT4OHYD, used to have a Nissan 36.  The motor died after about 1, 000 hours so I swapped over to 25hp electric.  The electric is superior to the original gasoline engine.

Regarding the sticks, I plow out the center with a tablesaw dado head after planing to 7/8" thickness and ripping to 1 3/4".  I started doing that several years ago as an effort to reduce shadow/sticker stain.  Poplar especially was giving me problems.

99% of the lumber I make gets sold.  I use a Nyle 200 kiln.

Thanks all for viewing.  I look forward to participating and discussing  more in the future.

Looks like a very nice operation.

What type of wood are you using for the stickers?
Vacutherm IDry, Nyle 53 Kiln, New Holland Skid Steer, Kaufman Gooseneck Trailer, Whitney 32A Planer

Newest stickers are all poplar.  I use poplar because that's always what I have the most plus it machines easily.  Older stickers are a mixture of everything.  The large groove has nearly eliminated sticker stain - specie of wood doesn't seem to matter.

Welcome to the forum.  Nice setup you've got.  Can't beat a good tractor with 4wd!

Nice!  How does that long cord work during mill operation?
