I'm a beginning woodcarver interested in Northwest native art. I'm looking for consistent boards of seasoned western red cedar, quarter or rift sawn, 1 1/2 inches or so thick, with a fairly high ring count. I'm finding it hard to locate a supplier. Volume will be low, but I'm more than willing to pay you a profitable price for good quality. I'm in Colorado and will likely require shipping as well.

I'd appreciate any consideration you can provide, and thanks for your attention.

Tim

We have a moderate supply of old growth WRC, knots are soft but if your not needing long lengths its tight grained and dark red in color.

@redbeard, thanks for the response.

Length I'm looking for is 24-48 inches, if possible. This is for carving projects, so I'd expect to exclude boards with knots in them or to change the projects to match the solid wood.

I assume you have the equipment to cut to this length, is that right? Are we at a point where we could discuss costs?

Thanks.
