Metal lathe, South Bend 10 or similar - found one.
« on: February 27, 2016, 11:13:11 PM »
Looking for an American made manual metal lathe, any good brand (South Bend, Clausing, Logan, etc). Need 1 3/8" or larger spindle bore, and at least 24" between centers. 3 1/2' - 5' bed. With or without tooling. Will pay fair market price for a good serviceable lathe. I can get it out of a basement too. Budget up to $2,000 or slightly more depending on condition and accessories. Within 200 miles of New Castle County DE.

Thanks.
John

Too late. This old beauty followed me home today. South Bend Heavy 10 w/ 4' bed. Early 40's (haven't looked up the serial # yet). Got a real good deal. It was already disassembled, but everything is there and in very good condition.
