Timber Jack 480B Rear Hub Seal
« on: September 14, 2017, 04:48:30 PM »
New to the  forum, hope im posting in the correct category.
We have a timber jack 480b skidder that first of all trying to figure out what year it is and track down a rear inner hub seal. I talked to pape` machinery out here in California. And he was able to give me a part number but they want 600 for it. Was hoping you guys might know of a different company or something.
Any ways its a grappel skidder with a orange cab (no winch) but was told it was a hercules.
cab serial number in picture. If the pic uploadled
Heres the seal part# 841703700 its a deere number
If the pics dont upload can someone tell me how to do it thanks

You should check Aftermarket Parts they deal in forestry equipment parts.

Look for a tag or cast id for the axle. Might be an Eaton WR10.

The duo cone seal may not even be damaged.   It is possible that the spindle nut has just backed off creating a leak at the seal.
