Skidder "bumper" ? Translation?
« on: September 13, 2017, 03:31:47 AM »
Guys, the Frenchie at it again.

Well, i have to admit my ignorance.

How do you call the rear "bumper" of a cable skidder i mean the rear metal plate under the winch rollers usually. You know that part which protects the back of the chassis and the wheels and often is shaped to accommodate these.

In French, we call it an apron.

Thanks.

Max.

Well, seen "log bumper", "log fender".

Any diy builds of one of those? Worth seeing?

Thanks.

My neighbors kid was over last week and wondered what the "big metal thingy" did on the back of the machine.   :D :D
