Blue beetle killed pine at the Canyon lodge in Yellowstone

On our trip to Yellowstone I saw beetle killed pine being used in Jackson as well as the Canyon lodge in Yellowstone.  The pine out there looks a little nicer than my beetle killed SYP.

Most of our forests in Mt are dying from pine beetle infestation.
99% of the pine I get in my log yard  is blued now.
Last year I cut a beam order out of LP pine when the contractor came to pick it up. he refused it because it was blued.
In MT if its pine its blued

Severe blue stain has been linked to strength loss.  Further, there is some concern about using the wood where people are allergic to mold, mildew and similar fungi.
