That son is one of my 3 engineer son's, in fact but the only civil. He said I had to help him build a new kitchen table (I'm the guy with the wood, shop, tools and know how on the table in return for he'd doing the calculations and offered to help me do my pier pours, maybe on the logs, etc., too-we'll see how that part works out? :D
He's ~200 miles away but his wife is from near us so that forces him to be here anyway-sometimes...
Yep, he doe's this stuff for a living, lots of much bigger projects than my little cabin for sure.
He was just saying he wanted only the specifics to maintain a clear mind and not anyone else's calcs going in, nothing to do with who else did what beforehand.
My cousin, the gold mine inspector did many/most? of his inspections via bushplane up there. "My remote" isn't "your remote" but a neat spot none the less. Bigger trees here...

You do have bigger trees than we do, and a lot more variety of trees. We do have a lot bigger trees than most people see, at least in the interior, you will never see the big trees on the road system. The bigger trees it seems like follow the water courses, and I suppose have been logged off anywhere they come close to the road system.

I can't tell you how many times truckers from the lower 48 have ask me where I find trees to haul on my log truck, while I am fueling up.
Old LT40HD, old log truck, old MM forklift, and several huskies.
