Found this saw at an estate clean up , buddy thinks he found the manual for this saw in the house today

Amazing fuel oil mix ratio...12:1 with SAE 50W-60W non detergent motor oil

Manual??    :o   That would be worth as much as the saw.
Model 6020-20hp Manual Thomas bandsaw,TC40A 4wd 40 hp New Holland tractor, 450 Norse Winch, Heatmor 400 OWB,YCC 1978-79

quite a few other older saws also  pioneers , PM Canadien , stihl these were his fathers saws from his early logging years . Hopefully its the manual for this saw would be classic

  Is the front handle also the bar oil reservoir?

Found the manual for the saw I believe sure looks the same , copyright date on manual 1947 . As far as the handle as the oil res looks like it Ill check it out tonite when in in garage .

I used to have a small collection of saws from around that vintage, some ran, some didn't. What they all did just from handling them, was to give you some appreciation of how tough the loggers were back then.
Old LT40HD, old log truck, old MM forklift, and several huskies.

You got that right , that's when men were men . I put a day felling with my 670 and my 372xp and I'm beat and sore. I can not imagine dragging that around
