Have a 2 year old 550 xp. couldn't get it started after cutting one log up about a week ago. brought it to the dealer. He took it apart and found there was a problem with the exhaust cylinder. He contacted Husqvarna who claimed it was from bad fuel. I've always used 50:1 premixed fuel and that doesn't jive. Husqvarna wouldn't cover replacement parts even though the saw is still under warranty. I onlyuse the saw occasionally to cut firewood. NOT HAPPY

it could be stale fuel if its been lying up unused for awhile it will score the piston on the exhaust side

Yep this is what they always say...I would raise hell so they think "well he ain't going to roll over and buy a new one", most people are sheep and believe anything...
