Was making it's maiden cuts at 12:30 after a trip to the parts store for some gas line.
I don't know if it's the weight difference or it being a v-twin the mill vibrates much less.
It makes some smooth cuts
I can see how the added hp will be much better 8)

All else being equal, a twin cylinder will vibrate less than a single.

Now you've got yourself a mill you can't keep up with.  8) 8) 8)

now you have enough power to add a double grove engine pulley to run an alt or small hyd pump for hydraulic add ons.

So far I'm very impressed with the Predator engine.
It's been making some nice lumber :)

Mine runs good. but doesn't like to idle. and is a bit cold blooded (doesn't like the cold).
I knew what I thought I meant.

In the cold I was told to cover the fan intake on the front.
Because it brings in to much cold air.

The old 13hp wouldn't run 10 bands very well.
I have some but didn't use them much because of poor cuts in everything.
I grabbed some 10 and headed out to the mill today and put one on.
Nice cuts in some knotty pine
I couldn't believe it  :o
I'm still only going to buy 7 and 4 but I can use up the 10 I have.

Thanks for the up date. Does your mill use a clutch? If so, what make?

I now have a 25hp Kohler on my mill and it doesn't like the cold weather, so it doesn't run very well without covering part of the intake!
I use half of a Frisbee, just fasten it onto the grill with fine wire or zip ties!

Mr Fish
I didn't see any marking on the clutch.
It fits on the 1" keyed shaft and has a bolt that is 3/8 fine thread that holds the back plate on.
