Left the house Monday at 4:40 am with my Peterson WPF loaded in back of truck for interstate travel.  Arrived, consulted, set up, first cut began at 9:40 am.  Last cut ended at 4:40pm.  Put the mill in the warehouse and headed for the motel at 6pm.

Under the headlights, 3" slabs, to be picked up tomorrow I'm told,  for pre-drying, and then kiln drying.  From 16 and 14 foot red oak logs, 32 and 30" at narrow end.

Thirteen 3" and one 1-3/4" slab with 16 saw cuts.  Total saw cut area 595 sq. ft.  Four chains.   One metal strike at beginning, 3 nails.

Some days are better than others, this one was good.

Thank you, thank you, but the customer did it. He also had a 8000 pound cap. fork lift that could also move a load sideways.  He had the slab off each time usually by himself by the time I was ready for the next cut.

Ps you'll notice I quit on time !
