I am going to go look at a 540B grapple with winch. I am just wondering what to keep my eyes open for on these machines and what is the best way to test out the winch. I have never owned a machine with a winch before. I have always just cut and bunched.
Thanks!
they have a weak center section. check that out. hook to some thing heavy and see how it winds in. see if it hold the machine.
Check the grapple to see how it rotates the gears get worn and they skip I ran one for my buddy rotator never worked long also the early ones had no grapple brake u had to hook the winch cable to it and winch up tight when empty or it would bang all over the place
