That's a great thing to have a connection with someone with that kind of knowledge. Was interesting reading about what you didn't know  ffcheesy  . We're never too old to learn, thanks for sharing.

The 89 WM had different  valves than newer models. No micros. Four valves  hooked in sequence  to the common  manifold. Internal electrical parts still available. Replace the valve centering spring while  the handle  is off.

As I get older, when I got to go, I got to go.  Something about pumping gas gives me the idea.  often, I start the filling then my wife watches the pump while I go (she goes first).  run back to the camper, and do not leave the pump unattended.

I pride myself on making good time on road trips. Last time, I was pumping gas before taking my 8YO daughter to the restroom. Mid refuel, a bus load of senior citizens disembarked and headed towards the convenience store door. 40 minutes later we were back in the car.

The simplest place to start when one hydraulic function stops is the micro switch on the valve.   The switches get out of adjustment sometimes.

It takes longer to open the hydraulic box than adjust the switch.

Southside,
Growing up in Southern Illinois we had quite a bit of Osage Orange.
Grapefruit size "hedge balls" were perfect size for the delinquents to roll down a hilly back road.Hill climbing vehicles were not amused.

NW I am in a similar boat, old android that can't resize. You might be able to resize or find a workaround on the iphone? Maybe a lot of people in the same situation and contributing to slowdown here? Just not enough hours in a day to sit down and transfer pics from phone->computer, usually I am on the forum on phone in between other things, while taking a break etc. So no pics from me lately or any time soon probably

Bearing capacity of the piers on the soil? Good question! I'll have to look into that.

I am assuming the we'll take the piers down pretty deep unless we hit ledge first, which is very likely. In that case, we'll dowel into the rock and anchor the piers on top.

I'll check out those PowerPoints. Thank you
