Longtime lurker here, I've been wanting to build or buy a bandsaw mill for years, and now I'm getting ready to retire and realize that I should probably just buy a mill rather than wasting another 20 years messing around with making one.

I was thinking about something along the lines of the TimberKing 1400 with the bare-bones hydraulics. I figure if I needed to, I could add additional hydraulics later. Read More

A a 30HP 790 John Deere compact tractor. I'm yarding out tree length hardwood - maybe 16" at the butt (small enough so I can lift rounds to a woodsplitter without rupturing myself) one at a time with branches attached. I started milling with a Lt 15 in 2010. In 2015 I invested in a Lt 35. Basically the same head so I am familiar with this mill. I am currently helping a friend with his LT 15. Hello.

My Son David is looking at a second hand LT20 mill.
This will seem like a silly question to a lot of you. But we have no knowledge of Wood-Mizer products.
It apparently is Fully Hydraulic.
Does this mean that it has hydraulics operating the cutting feed? Or do you have to manually push the cutting head when cutting, or is the feed hydraulically operated?Read More
