I see a white skiff this morning on the grass. Have not seen sun here in 2 weeks.  :sunny:  35° this morning, looks like more showers and flurries all week. Might see a little sun Wednesday. It's November!

I have 32 this morning and that wind is still busy!!!
The rain we had helped out the fires.
We had very little sun yesterday.

I stayed out of the woods yesterday it was so windy. Was afraid of falling branches. 30 this morning with clear skies. Breezy but not windy. I'll head up to the woods later and see if the ground has softened up much.

We are definitely approaching winter, another drab grey day. It hit 52 today but never felt like it, about the time the solid overcast began to break around noon, the wind also perked up from 5 to 20MPH and took any niceness out of the 15 minutes of sunshine we got.
The rest of the week looks pretty much the same except for rain on Thursday and it not hitting even 40 that day. Might be snow at my daughter's, where we are going. They are about 800' higher than us and it's always colder there. Then the usual mix for the weekend. The Thursday rain here will be snow where I am doing a show Friday and Saturday. Hopefully not too much or I will have to dig out my trailer, which is parked there now.
Aah, it's winter, what are you gonna do? I still haven't started the house stove yet but that's another story.

We had our first snow today.
Just about enough to make the ground white.
But that deepened on where you were too.
A garage about a half hour away called and no snow at all there.
Had just a little sun first thing in the morning and rain started around 11:00.
Snow came a couple hours later.
Tomorrow some sun and more of a mess on Thanksgiving Day.

Was 36° here all day long Tuesday and some fog mostly then some very fine mist for awhile in the evening.  Says 34° this morning. More perpetual November clouds. The creeks are still low here, not getting much water, just dampness and greasy on top.

Believe it or not Nov 66 was just as mild for us as this Nov has been. Mom and dad were working on the little old house before winter, plastering walls and ceilings and no heat on.

I have 26 this morning and a high of 42.
Better enjoy the high today. Looks like only one more day like that and then 30.
It is late Nov.

Heavy fog here, I did see some stars through the fog.

Thanksgiving is going to be dry and partly sunny here. But some rain/snow coming at night and Friday. We will make our grocery run in the morning.

33 here this morning and snowing. Everything is turning white, but won't last long when the temp rises in an hour or two. We are at 640' elevation. Headed to my Daughter's this afternoon and she is at 800'. Since this storm is largely elevation dependent, she will likely have more. The show I am doing this weekend (tomorrow and Saturday) will be at about 1,500' and they will likely have 4-8 inches. I hope they don't plow my trailer in, but I'll bring a shovel.

My wife is afraid to travel in the snow (long story) so it remains to be seen if she will allow us to get to the daughters today.

32° here and almost 8" of snow so far. Plow went. Schools are closed. A tree truck landed here at 2:00 am this morning out front. It backed up, then it disappeared into the blizzard. Ain't seen it since. Gotta get that cleaned up before it turns to rain, heavy enough as it is.

Our Fall has been long, dry and warm.
That's unusual - Fall is normally a two week change over.
The temperature has finally dropped to nearly normal averages.
We've had "lake effect" snow when the wind is from the prevalent North.
Until the big lakes just North of us freeze over, we'll keep on getting humid, cloudy days with a lite dusting of snow every day.
It's a winter wonderland, right?

26° this morning. Now that we had a significant snow it's going to stay below freezing or low 30's. Down in the teens at night for the next week, but don't see any snow forecasted until the end of next week, Thursday or so. Single digits next weekend.

Yesterday it got to be 93° in the shop and RH of 35%. Should not have added any more wood after the first load burned down to coals. And that was fir and popple coals, not oak. :D

I'm burning cedar now.
Probably have about a 4 days supply. This was cedar that got knocked down in a windstorm we had.
We have about 8 inches of snow on the ground now, from that Thanksgiving day storm. It was kinda of a wet snow.
I delivered parts to a customer in Mt Vernon, maybe 20 minutes from me. He does not a a great driveway, kinda like a woods road. It was "plowed", of so I thought. He only got about 2 inches of snow!!!! In the village, a few minutes away, they was at least 6 inches of snow. That was an odd thing to see.
We went to her son's for Thanksgiving, little more then a 1/2 hour from here. On the way there, less and less snow until there was none. Which I expected. It did start to snow when we got there. I had at least 4 inches on the ground by that time.
Last power for about 24 hours.
I have 25° now and a forecast just about the same as SwampDonkey posted.

22° and sunny here this morning. Some places nearby are 16° this morning. I'm on a ridge here which is always warmer on winter mornings. Won't even reach 30° here today.

22° here now, lower overnight. Forecast says we won't see 40 again until maybe next Monday. Expecting snow on Thursday and temps all week between 20's and mid 30'. Looks like more lake effect stuff coming our way today, decorative snow here, but the folks on the SE sides of the lakes are kind of getting clobbered. 4 feet plus in Buffalo I hear.

Since I let the shop stove die out this weekend while I was doing a show, I have to work to get the building warmed up again. The air temp is easy, but re-warming all that thermal mass takes a couple of days. It's only 50 out there now, with an overnight fire.

Dayton has also been cold for the past few days. Supposed to hit mid to low 20's tomorrow and then be in the mid 30s I think for most of the next couple weeks. Brr...

Tom, if you ever figure out a good way to keep that thermal mass warm let me know. My shop is way, way smaller than yours but the concrete floor stays very cold. I got it up to maybe 70 or so yesterday but that was with the 1500W heater blowing and propane to take the chill out for maybe half hour, then kerosene for the rest of the time. I'm regretting not setting some radiant heat in the floor, but am very much considering the investment. I spend a lot of time out there and it's not much fun when it's cold, but too expensive to keep very warm. My moving blankets went back over the doors too.

I left the shop an hour ago and it was about 90° and 35% RH. That was starting from 62° and hr before and 48% RH. Shop is only 480 square feet, lots of insulation. Probably 40" over head and R20 walls. That little Osborne throws some heat with aspen and fir wood. There was still a hand full of embers from a fire I started 11 hrs earlier. ffsmiley
