Hey All. I have an early model HD36V1. ive got the idle set down super low, but the blade still turns. Does most of your still turn? I was assuming it would stop at idle for safety reasons. But this model is new to me. Thoughts? If its supposed to stop i thinking its a pretty easy change of the clutch. Just looking to see if anyone has had this experience? Thanks!

My Hudson HFE 36 did that when I first got it. I had to adjust the idle lower by bending some tabs on the governor mechanism. The engine is a Briggs vanguard 16hp.
Change is hard....
Especially when a jar full of it falls off the top shelf and hits your head!

You could also try spraying your clutch with some clutch lube. The stuff I have is from Comet.

I know this is kind of late, but I had the same problem after using the HD36V2 for a year, and the solution was a new clutch. Norwood said a year is to be expected for heavy use, and it turned out to be pretty much a year to the day. :)
