I have an older Husky 272 and no complaints. Always cranks and has always been enough saw for me.
I have been reading the accolades of the 372 and wonder what the major differences are?
I understand the 372 is more saw.
How much more?

Thanks in advance.

Having had a 272 and I just bought a 372, I think the most important differences to me are:

1) 372 has a side adjuster

2) drum/sprocket rim which makes saw chain changes fast and easy.

The 372 feels like it has more power and revs faster, BUT, the 272 I had was pretty well worn so I have no real way to compare it to a 372.

I compared my 272 to the 372 right after it was introduced.  The 372 rev'ed up a lot faster than my 272.  I felt like my 272 had more torque but that could have been due to the chain...I used a lot of 72 CK back than.

Another thought...I bet there is a difference between one of those early 372's and one built yesterday.

Not much, except the newer ones have a rev limiting coil (13600rpm).
