has anybody had problems with these? very cold blooded no matter how it is adjusted[carb] you still have to feather the throttle until its warm.
husky put holes in the clutch drum to cool i quess clutch fills will saw dust and binds up, why fix something that isnt broken?372 great saw oh cant build that anymore. any help with problem appreciated, just venting why change something that works

I haven't had any problems with mine, i have learned that it starts easier if you put it on high idle each time you start it.The 357,359,562,576 385s all start better that way. I have to clean the clutch on the 562 every day too.
thanks always start on high idle but if its not warmed up you have to feather the throttle till it is then it is semi ok. love the 372 tho really love the 460 series sthil
I fellow I know told me if he had to make a living with a 575-576 he'd rather pump gas.
i see why ,its just a loner thank god, got the 372 back now the oaks will fall, still waiting for the other 372 to get fixed the 576 just back up now
You should try a 576AT, then you wouldn't want the 372.

That actually is what most operator manuals say you should, but with many saws it isn't necessary when the saw is really warm.
Have had my 576XPGAT since 2010 and I had the same issue with the clutch. Installed aftermarket clutch for 372xp (no holes)and last year put the W clutch cover on for a huge improvment in clearing chips while splitting. My last 288xp sits under the steps now ;D
