For New Brunswickers, a permit for wreath tips and branch material is required to harvest from crown lands.

Permit for wreath tips and branch material on crown land in NB. (https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/services/services_renderer.3995.Crown_Lands_-_Permit_for_Wreath_Tips_and_Branch_Material_.html)

For a family Christmas tree, NB residents must seek a permit from a district office of the Department of Energy and Resource Development, and indicate where they want to cut the tree off crown lands, before permit approval.
