Hood latch for MR truck?

Jeff

not a hood latch.  This item as a repop is 375 bucks, if you can find one intact, they are usually a couple hundred and that is a big if.  I was able to trade 2 extra doors that came with my truck for this one.

This one was seized solid, and that is usually how they get destroyed. I put it in a ziplock with some bluecreeper and it is now working. It needs some more work yet, but it will be fine.

This guy had 2 front fenders and a front grill, and a butchered cab, and he wanted 650 bucks for that stuff! He figured perfect for making a ratrod. He would not sell just the part for the 50 I offered him. When I offered up the doors, he jumped on it.  I spotted the stuff along the road in pickford mi.

I was going to guess a really big can opener for really big cans but the truck talk got me thinking of a window or vent owner for the front.

That is it. It is a windshield regulator. The front window on
M.R. Truck opens.

Early in the year a member posted he had the other part i sought. He set a price, i agreed, then he disappeared.  Big fat bummer on that one. I guess he got a better offer or sonething rather than let me know.

When I looked at the chrome handle with the lines my first thought that looked like a Dodge Power Wagon unit. Went and looked at your truck. NICE!! The front windshield that opens let's a lot of air in and feels great. When I had the old 48 Power Wagon that part you have was broke so we had a stick to prop open front windshield and put many miles driving the beast. Love old trucks 👍

Jeff

Exact same part for the power wagons.
