Punky wood? Larch.

Hi everybody.

Do you think it is worth keeping? Usually i would discard that stuff. But i wonder if the punky part would dry well. It is larch again (larix decidua)

I have some maple like that. I am going to use it for concrete forms for sawmill pad and fire pit pours. After the concrete cures I will break up the forms and burn them in the fire pit. Double uses.
Cook's MP-32, 20HP, 20' (modified w/ power feed, up/down, loader/turner)
DH kiln, CatClaw setter and sharpener, tandem trailer, log arch, tractor, thumb tacks

I did cut a piece. 4 inches wide or thereabouts. I can break it with half my weight.   About 60 kilos. I attacked it with a 5/16" chisel. Sharp as can be. It feels tougher than WRC or spruce.
