How would you like to get a new truck and have this happen. The guy was getting out of his truck and I said wow were you there when it happened and he said he was on the road working in a small town when the hail hit and he said it was like grapefruit size

Walnut Beast That wouldn't be a good day. Back in 2015 wife had just gotten a new Jeep Wrangler and stopped into a business to talk to a friend and always parks way away from any one. A semi came into the parking lot and was on his phone and was lost and side swiped the whole side of her Jeep and blew both tires on that side. A lady saw it happen stopped him. $16,000 worth of damage and they didn't total it. We traded when it came back from the body shop. Hoping the new truck lives a long damage free life.

Salesman is calling me if I’m ready to special order the new truck. With the union ready to strike and demanding a 47% pay raise over four years I might never see the truck anytime soon and if you wait till the cows  🐮 come home it might be priced out of sight beyond what it is.

Yesterdays price isn’t today’s price. From about a month from when I built and priced my truck the msrp not the dealer price has gone up 600 bucks. Not happy about that. Didn’t put the deposit down then

Some were complaining about the half ton trucks getting too big. This might fit the bill. It’s the new bigger size ranger 😂. I don’t think so! Now do you think a 100k heavy duty truck that can pull a house and most are luxurious as any top of the line car is that bad 😂

The heavy duty and half ton trucks don’t look so bad in price compared to that big UTV!

Just shows how worthless the dollar is now.
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

Nice.  Things do seem to be moving a little, now at Ford, also.  We got notice that our 2023 F250 Platinum that we didn't really want is now being built, and the F350 HO 2023 Plat we did want was canceled due to the strikes at Ford.

However, the dealer put us in for a 2024 F350 last August or so (three trucks on order) and it got "previewed as buildable" last week (apparently only 8 were) and it is now scheduled for build on Nov 20.

It's only been a year, and we went from no trucks in the queue to three, back down to two.  Can't hardly keep it straight.  I only want one.
YellowHammerisms:

Take steps to save steps.

If it won’t roll, its not a log; it’s still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they’re burned, and you can’t fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

My 2004 dodge just had the transmission rebuilt.  While in the shop it got damaged on the fender and door by the driver's mirror. Now off to the body shop.
It wasn't a cheap repair but apparently it's a much improved Torque converter,  flywheel and components than original.   We will see.

Some of the features and improvements on all these new trucks are really nice. Like the mirrors especially for guys pulling trailers. For example my new truck the mirrors will have all power of
1. Retract in and out
2. Folding in and out
3. Lighting of several functions
4. Heated upper and lower mirrors
5. Adjustable upper and lower mirrors
6. Automatic lowering and adjusting of mirrors when truck is put in reverse.
7. Automatic adjustment for glare
8. Side cameras
