Tring to find a new rotor for the brake .Someone changed the brakes to disc but they had to drill the rotor to fit the 4 hole yoke and the holes are now egg shaped. The local napa cant find a rotor with the center hole big enough to fit. The caliper is off a 1970s chevy. the rotor had 5 holes. Does anyone know what the s8 international had I herd of guys using that setup.

I just went through the same thing with a different machine. I took the rotor to a local machine shop and had the center enlarged. cost me a whole $10.  8)

The S8 has 2 rotor's, one off the back of the tran and on the rear end, they are both the same size. The one on the tran is set up as the emergency brake, the one on the rear end is your petal brake.
This is a very heavy rotor and caliper set up. This is the way I'd go

The set you have know is off a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup, if your going to stay with this set use a 1 ton rotor and caliper a 8 hole rotor.
Take the yoke off the skidder and have a machine shop drill & cut holes, [ like Chet said ] this way everything will line up and fit right.

A friend of mine with a 230TJ used a Ford escort rotor and caliper. Only thing that would clear the winch frame. He bored the center out to fit the hub. Timberjacks have a four bolt hub too. Mine still has the original drum which works OK as long as it doesn't get wet.
