Band wheel size makes a big difference. The bigger the wheel's diameter, the lesser stress on the band saw blade material. That was one of the reasons I choose what I am paying for my saw mill. 30 inches of band wheel is the biggest I could find for my money.

Even that is a compromise ...the guys running 19" wheel pay less than $20 bucks for a band.( Or so I have heard)..my 26" wheel bands cost right at $30...what are your 30"ers gona cost...Banjo

Frank...Well now you have me wondering. Not that it's really important, but you'd think companies would have put more thought into it, seeing as how the bandwheel is probably one of the top 3 or 4 most important components on the saw. Now I really do want to see some numbers...

For LM2 saw mill, $196 for 6 of them. Each band is 229 inches long.  With my retired military discount it will be $186.20 per 6 of them.
The longer the length of the band, the longer the life.
