Title: Replace Kohler 440 on frontier or Norwood

 Which engine does fit or which stronger one can I use?
Some of u do have some experience with that?

That model number doesn't sound right, a Kohler 440 to me is an old snowmobile engine.

Kohler (and most manufacturers) lists the shaft diameter, shaft length, shaft location and mounting hole dimensions for its engines on the website.  You could check if the dimensions for a higher cc engine match your current engine.  It's just a guess that above 20 hp the dimensions change.

My uncle replaced the factory engine in his boardwalk with the 22hp predator from harbor freight. It's been running strong for several years and cost about half of a name brand in the same hp rating.

What's about a diesel... How many hp do I need then ???
Much more torque....
Do have some of u some ideas?
