Got a note from Steve's girlfriend letting me know that Steve passed away today. I don't know any particulars. Will post if she shares.

i'm glad you posted this in the sawmill setion as i don't often look in the full members section (where the other post is).  i had been wondering about not hearing much from kansas and now i know why.  that's really too bad, i enjoyed his no nonsense attitude/posts.   :(
that's why you must play di drum...to blow the big guys mind!

I just put it all together.  I'd met Steve a couple times.  Nice guy, good hometown businessman.  At 54, that's way too soon to go.  He will be missed. - Ryan
