1st Time Cabinet doors

 Wife wanted a new cabinet for the empty space above our built in frig. 33"h x 36"w
Face frame and doors out of the curly/ambrosia/maple that I sawed up from almost 2 years ago.
One coat of waterlox so far, will put on 3. Just sitting on the counter for now.

Isn't it satisfying to take a project from tree to furniture and have it look good. That;s some great looking work there.

Whoa!  Curly ambrosia maple!  Doesn't get much better than that, and you milled the wood and built the doors yourself!  (In some places, they will not even let you pump your own gas  :)).

That cabinet will be beautiful, and you will always have a warm spot in your heart every time you look at it.  However, if you have daughters, DO NO let them see it  :D.  Hang a sheet over it if they come to visit  :-*.

That was some of the trimming from the sides in order to get the large cant workable.

Only get to work at the house on weekends, but finished up today.  I'm not sure about the color/figure contrast. But the wife absolutely does like it.  So my opinion does not mean anything :-X

Now on to next project; some ends table of the same wood.
