Forest Economic Analysis and Harvest Scheduling Software

I am looking for some software to use for economic analysis modeling and harvest scheduling.  It appears that all of the large TIMOs and consulting companies use remsoft.  I called someone from remsoft and the price of their software is way out of my price range.  Is anyone familiar with a cheaper, and probably therefore, simpler software that does the same types of work?
