Have any of you guys ever hunted gmu 521 in Colorado. It's the raggeds wilderness area. I am packing in this fall and was wondering if anyone had any dos or don'ts. PM is fine. Thanks

I have hunted Colorado a number of times but don't remember the units. If you hunt early season the weather is pretty nice but late season when it snows it can dump alot over night so be prepared. Early season have plenty of water seems like high altitude you get dehideraded pretty quick. But good time for sure good luck.

Thanks autocar. I've been several times already and taken a few elk. We are headed to a brand new spot and I was really hoping someone had been there before.

Our old spot is so easy to get to that it just seems if your not the first guy in there then the elk are blown out. We would go back there but it's a opening week place and I'm tired of the heat and not hearing bugles. I'm gonna go later and hopefully get into the type of hunting I'm looking for.
