Well folks...thanks to you for the most part my new to me belsaw can cut pretty nice lumber.
I worked on it today for a few hours, made up and put a new flat belt on.
Lined up my pulleys and then locked it inplace with a turn buckle.
Ran the carriage back and forth a few times just to make sure things were true.
Then I picked up a little fir log and dogged it in. Log only made a few 1x5s but they
are the same size end for end. Even straight.
I must say I am impressed with how it works.
There are still things to do. I need to put together a log deck.
Would like it to hold enough logs to last an afternoon sawing.
Then a better feed control lever. And an off bearers table, roller.

Thanks again I would have had a very difficult time without you and special thanks to Captain Crunch. I spent a lot of tme looking at his mill pics and reading how he did things.

Thats great Chris! I don't know how big of a deck would be required for an entire afternoons sawing, but mine holds about 20 feet of logs and it doesn't take long if things are running good. Congrats on another Belsaw up and running!  8)

I put the logdeck together and its 8 feet wide and 18 feet long. Have 3  4x6 timbers on
top with channel iron on top of that.
I have to make the gates that go on the inside end by the mill.
I think i will also make the rollers on this as well because you should not roll the log toward the back.
I have gotten into the habbit of rolling the logs toward the logdeck on my Jonsered mill
this makes it easier once you get the hang of it.
