Is there an organization or agency that does lumber grading courses?  I found a post that said someone took a 14 week course but I lost it.  :(

If you put your two cents in and only get a penny for your thoughts...who gets the change?

The NHLA offers a course where you are a full fledged lumber grader at the completion.  You can pick up a few bucks by grading on the side.  But, you need to be sponsored by a NHLA member.

You can also get books there listing the grades and how they are reached.

You might also want to check with your state university.  I took a 4 day course in lumber grading.  It fit well into my schedule and wasn't too expensive.

There are also some organizations that offer weekend shortcourses.  Your state forester or extension agent may be aware of these.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Thanks Ron, I'll check locally and see what I can find.  :)
