Looks like a normal log around here, white oak doesn't saw too bad but those dried out ones will dull the blade faster.  Steve

This walnut limb log was coyote ugly.....



 

Kind of crotchetry.  Should be able to make some nice benches from the slabs.  At least, that is the goal.



 

This one was even worse, but a little good wood in there in spots.



 

BTW, the pear is in full bloom, the grass is greening up, and we are in Full Spring Mode here.

I noticed the pear and the grass before I saw the log. We're having a mild blizzard here today. :D

I took this picture of my neighbor's driveway yesterday.  It is lined with Bradford Pear trees.
