Best to include a pic of the underside of the cap. Gills, pores or etc goes along way in mushroom i.d.'s.
Be careful when you pick it & eat it. If confirmed it’s a real shroom then see how the taste compares to what you know that it might be. That’s my idea of a good start. Sometimes it’s the tasting thing that tells me specifics about “things”. Be warned; NOT the safest way to do things
