howdy all
here is a little secret i learned back when i made banjos. oil the wood to your likings (waco is good stuff ) . then after it has dried a day or so , buffet it with cabola (sp) wax to get the luster to your likings. with a powered buffer . woodcraft is were i used to get mine.
a lot of banjo players like the polished wax , good shine , easy touch up and the neck still slides in there hands when they get sweaty
