So as not to hijack the other thread, could one cut the original blades in half after sharpening and use them as split blades?? Am I attempting suicide if I try?? Thanks to KWood, I have a couple pairs of split blades coming, but I'm such a tightwad, I hate to throw the others out. May be best to just have my daughter paint some farm scenes on them and count it good as wall decor.Read More

New diy sawmill build. I have only around 3 hrs of running mill. Two bearings per shaft. 1 1/4 inch shaft. Today I could hear a thumping noise and then one bearing blew up. Contemplating leaving the circus and going to teaching locally (50k with experience, I taught for several years out of undergrad/local) and working as a consultant during the summers. Currently trying to roughout a business plan before I talk to a few retiring locals. Read More

Hi Guys,
I have a Gearmatic 8A that I have been working on. I got a bunch of new parts to put it back to factory specs and found out that someone cut the U-cup shoulder out of the bearing screw cap.
If anyone has a parts winch or knows where I can look for parts I would be grateful.
Thanks

Now in the last month or so He bought a Clark Sawmill.Read More
