Title: Man caves
Post by: GATreeGrower on May 02, 2013, 09:35:24 AM
I have two...one at home in the country and one at a storage unit where I keep the  equipment and my band practices.  The nice thing about both is I can get loud all nite if I want to...:)

I went through a few thrones before I figured out I needed something more reliable.   I be bouncing around a lot. So I attached a drum seat to a barstool.  Easy adjustment with no tools and doesn't slip down in the middle of a show :)

"A man cave, sometimes a manland, mantuary [1] or manspace,[2] is a male sanctuary,[3] such as a specially equipped garage,[4] spare bedroom,[3] media room,[5] den,[6] or basement.[6][7] It is not a cave but rather a metaphor describing a room inside the house, such as the basement or garage or attic or office, or outside the house such as a wood shed or tool room, where "guys can do as they please" without fear of upsetting any female sensibility about house decor or design"

By definition we have the same thing. Don't be humbled, its not about what you have in it but what makes you happy. IMO yours is better then mine because you use it more. I have not played air hockey or pool for about a year now. I just keep it dusted off. Ever need any ideas for bass traps and sound absorption let me know.  :)

Is there something about "loud" that interprets to "good music" ??

Loud makes bad music worse. And some good music is best at high volume.
