Don't use "Bleu" or any equivalent, but, thanks for the offer.

Tom_in_Mo.

Looks like you guys had a good time again this year. I sure missed being down there.

Tom

You did miss a good time, Tom.  As a matter of fact, you were a topic of conversation for a few minutes there on Wednesday Evening.   We cooked up a passel of pork ribs and could have used another mouth.  :D

Tom_in_Mo.

Man!!!!! do I love ribs...... 8) 8) 8) but only when they are cooked outside on a grill. I don't care for ribs you buy at a restraurant. My wife makes a mean mess of ribs. Now ya'all can have them lima or butter beans you were cooking, I like pinto or white beans.
Gosh DanG I am hungry now.
Like I said I miss seeing you guys and hope ya'all didn't get sick from eating too much. :o
Talk to you follks later, have a good one!!!!! Tom

Tom

Yeah, it would have been plumb terrible if you had gotten into those big ol' limas, floating around their own gravy. :D

The ribs were great, by the way.  There were three stoves going.  Dang had a little charcoal grill, Dnalley had a big gas grill, the likes of which I've never seen before, and Woodbowl had a coleman stove (with about four more in his truck).  There were Ribs, Coffee, fried cornbread, hotdogs, beans and probalby stuff I missed, going all of the time.  Then WDH brought out Chocolate Chip cookies, Oatmeal cookies and a great big, Delicious (with thick white icing all over the top) pan of Cinnamon rolls.

We'd have cooked some white Navy beans too if you had-a brought them . :D

Tom_in_Mo.

I had a helping of navy beans(aparently too much) last Sunday evening at deer camp. Methane was at a dangerously high level during the night.
You know, Tom, I bought myself a cuber (hand crank type) and ran some deer meat through it......... man does it work. Makes that ole deer meat so tender. I took the meat and let it marinate in some milk and egg and then rolled it in flour, drop it in some hot grease and fried it to a golden brown. Also had some green beans out of the garden (about July) that Janice canned, put a little bacon seasoning in them, along with biscuits, gravy and homemade blackberry jelly and some fresh sorgum............ wow 8) 8) 8)

Captain

The two times I made the show in Moultrie were certainly highlights of the show season for me.  I hope to go back someday...maybe next year...but as a spectator  ;D

Tom_in_Mo.

Hi Captain, yeah I am just like ya, I would really like to go back and have some time to really look things over and get in on that cook out. ;)

Tom

Mmmm biscuits, blackberry jelly, green beens, fried venison....  AWW-w-w-ww-ww   I could hurt myself.

Captain, if you find out Tom S. comes down, you better be there.  We are going to need some help at the table.  :D

WDH

As long as Tom brings that hand crank cuber and plenty of deer steak, we should be OK.

We gonna be ok no matter who shows up and who don't! ;D  I'll tell ya one thing though, I'd be tickled plumb pink to walk that show with Tom_in_Mo or Captain.  I shared both of Captain's  Moultrie experiences with him and I don't know how many times I've seen Tom Stout tied to that Baker tent for the whole 3 days, and I can tell ya that neither of them saw anything but sawdust!  Y'all all need to make plans to join us there someday.  There is plenty of room in our little freebie campsite in the pines for tents and vehicles.  Big campers aren't allowed in the freebie area though.  I brought along a tent for plan A this year, and plan B was a sheet of OSB to stretch over the truck bed.  I ended up with plan C, which was the truck seat and it sucked right out loud! :D :D :D

Bring it on Don!  Don't bother with the tent.  I can guarantee that my truck seat will be available!

Don, you better bring the tent  :).  He was a little hunched up when he exited the front pullman seat of that truck.

I bet he was Danny.  :D He is a little longer than me. The back seat in my crew cab looks like it would make a great bed.

We did eat a little too much Tom, and we talked about you making the show again. We'll be looking for you next year. Several more were missed as well. Radar, Donk, Corley5, Captain and a bunch more. Customsawyer slipped in on the first day and headed out by the afternoon. I almost caught him, but was about an hour behind. Maybe next year we can all have a plan.  ;)
