Title: Ash Borers...sad day
Post by: Broncman on April 23, 2024, 10:43:44 AM
The ash borers have claimed our favorite ash. About 42+ inches at the base. No canopy buds at all this spring. We have lost 75% of the ash on our property.  I do have 4-5 mature trees with 75% plus canopy left.

I will be treating them with Imidacloprid soil drench this week in hopes of saving  them.

The figure in this tree was amazing. Going to make some table tops from the cookies.

The only ones that survived were the little saplings .Evidently because they did not have enough inner bark for the larva .
