Title: locating a mill
Post by: johncinquo on December 03, 2002, 08:50:15 AM
Is there a way to locate someone with a mill that mills for a fee?  I tried searching the wood mizer site, as I thought they had a program to make referals, but could not find any such animal.  I found a guy on this site that does what I am looking for, but he is about 5 hours SE of me and I do not want to take logs that far.  Any listing on this site as to search for location?  I just want to have a couple logs band milled instead of cut with my chainsaw, and do not want to buy a band mill right now.  Thanks, JB

I don't think Wood-Mizer has a sawyer locator on-line on their web site.

You need to call the (toll free) 1-800-553-0182 and it will direct you to a service that will find custom sawyers in or around your area.

I am located near Angola, IN.  If you don't find someone closer, email me and I will give you some info.
