That sounds like a good contact Peter. Funny, I just today got into the NYS system to be a certified vendor. DOT needed some hardwood sideboards for their trucks. I sold them some beech as that's what I had what would make up the sizes they needed and he said sure lets try it out. They wanted a bigger order but I didn't really have time so I got them out of a jam by getting them enough for one of their trucks that needs it then they wants a bunch more later on.

The other bridge was the Cornish/Windsor covered bridge .
2nd time this year.
Last fall someone hit the Corbin covered bridge in Newport

Beautiful built bridge too.

I saw the new wood in the back of a DOT dump truck yesterday parked at the bridge.. Looks like they have treated or coated the ends with something black. Bridge is closed weekdays 7-3:30 for 3 weeks.
I'll try to get a picture on Thursday.
