Old Frick edger

This is an old Frick edger model #27-2 I found in a field. It was rusted up, and nothing would move.With the help of the FF I was able to redo it, and it is almost like new.

If you don't want to row, get out of the boat !

reviving old thread, Woody do you have any more info / pictures of the finished product. I looked at one of these yesterday and seriously thinking about buying it

Woody hasn't been on the forum for quite a while.  What does the edger look like that you're thinking about?  Things that can be bad are the feed rolls.  If they're worn, your boards won't feed straight.  That can be fixed, but I don't know what the costs are.  Makes sure all the parts are included, like blades, guides and the bar to move the movable saw.  There should also be a feed table.  The offbearing table can be rebuilt, but it helps if that is also there. 
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

From the looks of that planer, it may take 8 years or more to put it in working order.  Then you have to figure out a drive system.  I hope Woody is still hard at work.  Regards, Clark
