Not me. It's the boy and the wife. I always figured it was cheaper to tie money to a rock and throw it in the water than it was to have a boat. :D I have a canoe for me. When the motor runs out of gas you just stop and fish a while till it gets ready to go again. Takes a while to get any where but I'm in no hurry when in the canoe any way.

Just in case you might be feelling a wild hair, here is a "defunct" site that belonged to an old shipmate of mine.  He and his wife built a couple of boats.  This one was to have been their retirement home until the double whammy hurricanes wiped them out in Deltona Florida.  The boat was sold and they have replaced it with a land yacht and are now traveling the USA as they work odd programming jobs and recruit people into one of those Direct Marketing organizations.   I thought you might like this.  They even self-published a book.

I have my pontoon for sale, on craigslist.
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/boa/378128235.html

If your willing to drive up to Michigan, its a pretty good deal.

We're gonna join the "Go faster" club.  I like the cocktail cruising myself, but the girlie and kids outvote me.

Oh sorry, I need to update that info and put the pics in there.  It is a Crest III.  Heck I'd be on your way, if your coming to the pig roast!

The 35HP is just about right for cruising.  If it just our family, I can pull my son on a tube or ski- board and he will plane out OK.  Loaded with folks and beverages, its a lil slow.   I want to put a 65 HP 4 stroke on there.  When Nature calls, you gotta get across the lake in a hurry!  I have been out voted, and we are looking at a smaller boat but with lots of power.

My sis and bro in law just bought a 24' with a 90, they have some large lakes to play on. It is great for family get togethers on a warm Sunday afternoon. A cooler full of chicken, sandwiches and lots of cold sodas.  8) Her son has my 15' with a 40 to keep the kids happy. ;D

Afraid I won't be home for the pig fest. How far are you from Detroit?

John, I was just curious. I fly into Detroit on my way home. I think I have found a boat closer to home. Will let you know if I change my mind.

I guess I'm out of the boat buying buisiness for now. I found a shiny new to me bass boat sitting in the driveway when I got back from work last night. I can't wait to get it in the water.
