I thought I would share this with some of you.I replaced my old porch with cypress.It came out quiet well.We are putting up screen next.The mosquitoes have been terrible this year.

The porch on this house is cypress, but it sure doesn't shine like that! My father nailed it down about '62. It is 2"x6" T&G from a stave silo. :D

thank's for the kindly words guy's .we spend a good bit of time on this back porch and it needed some new skin.Next is screen and a place to cook and can vegetables in the summer time.I found a 10 ft stainless counter top with a sink.We will add a 5 burner cook top and a wok .A lot going on now not much time to work on it.In closing i will say this,old Customsawyer has told some mighty big woppers on this very porch.  al

I love Cypress.  I do get to saw it occasionally, but only in one instance have I been able to saw "on halves" and secure some for myself.  That was also the only job that I have ever sawed on shares.

That is looking really nice. The feeling you get from taking a log all the way from round to installed in your home is priceless.

I was thinking today that as nice as that porch is looking I bet I will now have to sit in the grass with the dog.
