When I 1st joined FF My 1st question was, Is willow worth burning? Well 2 years later I'm finally getting to the Willow, except I'm not sure if its Willow or Cottonwood or some sort of Locust? I'm not even sure if I want to mess with it? I did try burning a few pieces of the limb wood in my wood boiler and it had a pungent odor. If it is worthwhile there are 3 40" dia trees easy for the taking, but? I wish I had taken better pics but I was in a hurry, maybe its enough for you pro's too go on. Wood is located in west central Wi farm country.

Not sure which came first, but I have chickens and eggs.

mesquite buckeye

It burns. Low btu value per cord. Good for startup fires or if you just need to take off the chill.
Manage 80 acre tree farm in central Missouri and Mesquite timber and about a gozillion saguaros in Arizona.

Pound for pound of dry wood, gives the same BTU's. Go for it.  Just plug your nose..  ;D ;D

It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others
