Cypress Staining When Air Drying

I air dried some cypress and it stained pretty bad.  Is this normal for cypress?  I don't know what else I could have done differently besides kiln dried it.

It looks like it didn't have much airflow during the early drying stages.
Peterson 10" WPF with 65' of track
Smith - Gallagher dedicated slabber
Tom's 3638D Baker band mill
and a mix of log handling heavy equipment.

Most of it will probably plane out , but Scott is correct.
Thirty plus years in the sawmill/millwork business. A sore back and arthritic fingers to prove it!
