I'm a soda drinker full strength sprite, cherry Dr pepper. Never liked water. Tried V-8 splash figuring it's V-8 so it's got to be good. Turns out has the same amount of junk as soda. This past week I have been drinking nothing but water, still don't like it but still giving it a try. I did have some tonic water with lime and another additive Wednesday night to fight off malaria. ;)

If water is not your deal because it is boring, some of my friends try adding fruit...frozen fruit for us up north. Just throw some fruit into your water jug, fill up with water and top with ice to keep the fruit from floating on top and catching in your teeth and such.  ;)  The fruit adds a nice clean flavor, and doesn't alter the benefits of the water.

The store offers little packets of dried flavoring, like kool-aid, but I thought they tasted pretty nasty, and were so full of aspartine and crap that they defeated the purpose of the water.

I tried those packets of crystal light then everyone told me I'd be dead in a week from the additives so I quit ;D

Good bourbon doesn't need water and it would be a sacriledge to add a sodapop.  Good bourbon stands on its own.

I don't know how long this link will be good but if you drink a lot of sodapop, I think you owe it to yourself to read it.  It was one of the news items online this morning.

Thank you Charlie! That is a good read and what I needed to help me along. DR said give up the soda and make some changes.

I quit smoking almost 3 years ago now I'm trying to quit drinking soda. I used to drink more than a six pack a day easily. It's actually been tough as I've said before I never liked water but that's what I have been drinking.

I noticed some plain water in the store now say minerals added for taste, not sure about that. My Dr said just drink plain tap water and not worry about buying any.

Tap water is better than bottled water anyway, unless you like the taste of plastic. ;D

I drink my tap water out of plastic water bottles and don't find that plastic has taste. What does it taste like?  chicken? :)

I had a glass of home made rasberry soda today. It will be better tommorow or the next day. Still not quite through brewing. Got some rootbeer going also. Had a galon of cherry cola going but the jug explodeed. Lindy was not too happy about that. She didn't fuss too much. First time i ever had that happen.
