My pulp here all goes to firewood and softwood logs are not all that great in price either, less than $$ 30 years ago. So if that don't turn around then it will be firewood or worm food. There's no scarcity of pulp or softwood logs in these parts. There is a scarcity of large diameter logs, but these stud mills care less, doesn't move the price upward much for large logs. They are just as content sawing 10" spruce trees every 40 years off public and freehold plantations.
