Spring is when the chickmucks come out. They have been out for 2 days now.

I took the blankets off my shop doors and opened up yesterday! Since starting to hang the blankets out there this is turning into a good day, where I can start turning off the heat a bit and look outside. I did end up running the kerosene heater for a little while in the late afternoon when the sun is on the other side of the house.

I'll probably go out and cut that back field down tonight to get some nice new growth for the bees and deer.

We got to 38° yesterday and some melting in the sun.

22° this morning and mid 40's coming and a S wind blowing will help. Looks sunny in the east and clouds in the west, no mention of any storms though.

Snow ain't gone here yet and boss is getting itchy to get at the brushing. Funny what a couple warm days will do.

Man, quite lovely here. It was in the upper 60s yesterday, the sun was warm and nice but still a little chill to the air. Should hit low 70's today and for the rest of the week. I'll take it! Frogs in the pond should start any second now.

I saw 52 for a couple hours today. The sun came out and the temp went up.

We are seeing the low 80's this week but sometime good brings bad.  We have a very high potential for severe storms Saturday.

24° this morning and cold NW wind, clear skies with stars and moon. Not going to warm up much, no thawing today. We had some rain in the night that ended with a few snow flakes. I would imagine some black ice on the road this morning. Will be a beautiful day though with lots of sun, starting out anyway.

Temp dropped back to 18° here now.

It got up to 62 here yesterday, the snowbanks were really shrinking.

This morning started out at 20, high today expected to be around 32.

Temp has dropped some more here, 14°. Be nowhere near thawing here today.

Won't be much thawing tomorrow either with a high of 32° expected, so won't see that until 4:00 pm. It clouded over again at day break, but is clearing out again from the NW, so will be a sunny day here.

Yesterday was a beauty! Low wind, blue skies and temps is the high 60's. I actually sat in the yard and read my book while I waited for my log pick up to arrive. Nearly let the woodstove go out totally, but then saw the overnight lows and restarted it last night. Still clear today but 20° colder and more windy. I went and dropped a couple more trees, but again, the wind was against my fall line so I waited until it died for a minute then chased in the final cut. Got lucky twice.  But the wind still makes it not totally pleasant to be out there today.

14° here this morning. Won't be any melting much today. Looks like we will have some sun. Might see 34° by late afternoon.  Looks like 45-55° for the next week. That will move some snow. :D

Was out in t shirt today with clearing saw. Taking out invasive pith bushes that have taken up after the fire. 

Good day for burning before the burn restrictions March 15.

I saw 39° here this afternoon. Was only 24° at noon. Lots of sun here. Lunar Eclipse around 2:00-3:00 am AST Friday.
